Introducing Taeda Tech Project – Developing a Novel Aeroponics System for Nursery Tree Biomass production
Abstract
This talk will introduce the Taeda Tech Project: Soilless cultivation for rapid biomass feedstock production. In this project we are developing a novel aeroponics system for larger plants. Our focus is on the nursery production of willow biomass trees to support the UKs biomass/bioenergy targets as nursery production struggles to keep up with anticipated increasing demand. We present initial insights from our project as well as considering what avenues this can open for the CEA industry.
