Alma VFarm: experimental vertical farm which focuses on innovation and education
Vertical farming is a cultivation technique that continues to spread globally, including Europe and Italy. It is an innovative production method, rich in applied technologies and with potential not yet fully expressed. In this dynamic context, research plays a major role in validating technological innovations, defining tailored cultivation protocols depending on the species and varieties grown, as well as making selection of the varieties most suitable to be grown in vertical farm systems. At this juncture, Alma VFarm acts as a link between university and the private sector, as well as a training center for future professionals in the field.
