Biography:
Francesco Visentin ha ottenuto un dottorato in informatica congiungo tra l’Università di Verona e l’Università di Tsukuba (Giappone) ed è esperto di soft robotics e acquisizione e analisi di segnali. Ha lavorato presso l’Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia focalizzandosi sullo sviluppo di nuove tecnologie per il monitoraggio e la robotica.
Attualmente è ricercatore presso l’Università di Verona e si occupa dello sviluppo di sistemi robotici per il settore agrifood.

Abstract
As the global demand for agricultural productivity intensifies to meet the needs of an ever-expanding population, the farming field is facing challenges, such as labor shortages, the conservation of resources, and the promotion of environmental sustainability, which require a new approach to agriculture. Integrating robotics, novel sensing, and AI is promising in addressing those issues, offering innovative solutions to enhance crop yields, reduce resource wastage, and ensure a sustainable and resilient future for the farming industry.
