AlgaeFarm, the event in the event dedicated to algaculture is now in its fourth edition. The goal has always been to give a leading role also to the algae and microalgae cultivation sector, already present in the previous editions.
AlgaeFarm becomes the perfect opportunity to meet the best professionals engaged in a continuously growing sector such as that of the production of algae in aquaculture or in greenhouses. Not only that, this exhibition space dedicated to algaeculture offers a great wealth of ideas for all those people interested in new business opportunities or for farms that want to reconvert their production.
As per the mission of the event, AlgaeFarm will also be accompanied by conferences and debates dedicated to algae and microalgae. We will have the opportunity to learn more about the latest news both in the field of research and in the development of new technologies for the cultivation and application of the product.
The production and processing of algae and microalgae is an activity that is growing more and more. Promoted by the European Union for the development of the Blue Economy, algaeculture offers a lot of application possibilities, especially in agriculture and in the urban environment. There are many environmental benefits: in fact, it allows sustainable production, especially since it does not require soil (algaculture takes place in the sea or in greenhouses) and high levels of CO2.
Precisely because of these peculiarities, particular attention will be dedicated to future scenarios and to all the areas of use of microalgae: from human and animal nutrition and production of sustainable energy and biofuel, up to applications in circular economy and chemical-pharmaceutical and cosmetic/nutraceutical sector.
